When I found out about the famous hortoculturist, Bertrand Farr whose office is now my home I decided to paint the peonies in my backyard still wondering if they were planted by Mr. Farr. . Flowers have always been part of my daily life but in vases as part of our home more than subject matter. So, now we are living in his office built in 1911 we were told Iris and peony bulbs were sold to Charlie Chaplin from here!

I kind of thought about it before venturing into that artistic crossroad. One of the great unfurling fragrant flowers that is here for 10 days and then is gone.
