This particular artwork was Inspired and created shortly after the Acadia Night Sky Festival in Maine.

While waiting in line along the Acadia National Park coastline for a peek through a telescope to view a particularly radiant planet or colorful star i listened to the sound of the water crashing against the rocks. This added drama to the thirty plus enthusiasts rustling around with their heavy cameras speaking different languages. Everyone was chatting oh, so quietly like in a library or church.

The 100's of shooting stars were like continual mistings of baby powder with pellets of iridescent sea shells across the velvet black sky. (There is a lot to be said for zones marked no light pollution allowed.) 

  Museum quality glass and framing with white linen mat and crushed iridescent seashells, acrylic paint  on masonite frames at 20" x 20"  This artwork was featured at another Acadia Night Sky event.
