In the woods of Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in Scotland you will find the famous FAIRY TREE a lone pine nestled among a forest of oak trees. This tree is thought to mark the entrance to a Fairy Queen's magical underground palace. Right there I was caught and imagining paintings about this very subject! As legend has it this palace remained a hidden secret for centuries until 1691 when a local reverend, Robert Kirk wrote about the specific location in his book, The Secret Commonwealth of Elves Fauns and Fairies, forever angering the magical inhabitants. The winds stir and the leaves fly to this day! ...as the legend goes...
