 The process of deciphering the secrets of the universe are fascinating and have led to my ongoing series of galactic paintings. A desire to comprehend the universe may well be humanity's oldest shared intellectual experience. I am inspired by the documented histories as well as NASA's ongoing discoveries. My expressionistic paintings are fueled by scientific equations like The Drake Equation, various known facts as well as our very own light shows in the sky like meteor showers and eclipses. I was fortunate to be invited to the Arcadia Night Sky Festival in Maine as a lecturer about the inter-related disciplines of Art and Science. 

Ponder this while checking out the artwork The Asteriod Belt .There are thousands of asteroids made from all sorts of rocky materials that circle the sun.  They can be 600 miles wide or a dust particle. They are heavily concentrated in a very wide belt between the orbits of Mars with 2 moons and Jupiter with 63 moons. These mammoth rocks and swirling dust have extreme temperatures and speed and continue to  inspire provocative discussions about the mysteries of outer space..
